  • 30-Hour Climber/Tower Crane Rigger Course

    Course Title: 30-Hour Climber/Tower Crane Rigger Course
    Purpose: This course is a Licensing requirement for all applicants for a NYC Climber/Tower Crane Rigger License.
    Duration: 30 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals
    Class Size: 1 – 50 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To work on Climber or Tower Cranes in NYC, all workers must successfully complete 30 hours
    of training as mandated by the 2014 Construction Code, Building Code Chapter 33 Safeguards during Construction
    or Demolition. To work as a licensed Climber/Tower Crane Rigger in NYC the licensee must successfully complete 30
    hours of training as mandated by the 2014 Building Code, Chapter 33 Safeguards during Construction or Demolition.

  • 8-Hour Climber/Tower Crane Rigger Renewal

    Course Title: 8-Hour Climber/Tower Crane Rigger Renewal
    Purpose: This course is a renewal requirement for the holder of a NYC Climber/Tower Crane Rigger License.
    Duration: 8 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals
    Class Size: 1 – 50 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To renew Climber/Tower Crane Rigger certification in NYC, all workers must successfully complete 8 hours
    of training as mandated by the 2014 Construction Code, Building Code Chapter 33. To renew a Climber/Tower Crane Rigger
    License in NYC, the licensee must successfully complete 8 hours of training as mandated by the 2014 Building Code.

  • 16-Hour Rigging Worker

    Course Title: 16-Hour Rigging Worker
    Purpose: This course is a requirement for an individual – who is not employed by a licensed rigger – to
    perform rigging or signaling work in conjunction with the hoisting or lowering of articles on the outside
    of a building with hoisting equipment. In lieu of completing this course, an individual may instead
    possess a department approved national rigging certification.
    Duration: 16 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals
    Class Size: 1 – 50 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To perform rigging or signaling work in conjunction with the hoisting or lowering of
    articles on the outside of a building with hoisting equipment, an individual must either (i) complete this
    course, (ii) possess a department approved national rigging certification, or (iii) be employed by
    a licensed rigger.

  • 8-Hour Rigging Worker Refresher

    Course Title: : 8-Hour Rigging Worker Refresher
    Course Required for: Worker Training
    Purpose: This course is a requirement for an individual – who is not employed by a licensed rigger – to
    continue to perform rigging or signaling work in conjunction with the hoisting or lowering of articles on
    the outside of a building with hoisting equipment. In lieu of completing this course, an individual may
    instead possess a department approved national rigging certification.
    Duration: 8 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals
    Class Size: 1 – 50 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To continue to perform rigging or signaling work in conjunction with the hoisting or
    lowering of articles on the outside of a building with hoisting equipment, an individual must either (i)
    complete this course four years following the completion of the 16-Hour Rigger Worker course & every
    four years thereafter, or (ii) possess a department approved national rigging certification, or (iii) be
    employed by a licensed rigger.

  • 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher

    Course Title: 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher
    Course Required for: Worker Training
    Purpose: This course is a requirement for an individual to use or work on a Supported Scaffold in New York City.
    Duration: 4 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals
    Class Size: 1 – 50 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To use or work on a Supported Scaffold in New York City, an individual must
    successfully complete 4 hours of User Training.

  • 8-Hour Hoisting Machine Operator Class B Rating

    Course Title: 8-Hour Hoisting Machine Operator Class B Rating
    Course Required for: License Rating Purpose: This course is a prerequisite requirement for obtaining a
    rating for a Class B Licensed Hoisting Machine Operator.
    Duration: 8 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals
    Class Size: 1 – 50 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To apply for a rating, the Class B Licensed Hoisting Machine Operator must
    successfully complete a course of 8 hours in length as mandated by Section 28- 405.3.2.2 of the New
    York City Administrative Code and 1 RCNY 104-09(h) of the Rules of the City of New York. A separate
    course must be successfully completed for each manufacturer and carrier type (wheel mounted or
    crawler) for which a rating is sought.

  • 32-Hour Rigging Supervisor

    Course Title: 32-Hour Rigging Supervisor
    Course Required for: Worker Training Purpose: This course is a requirement for an individual – who is
    not a licensed rigger or a designated foreman of a licensed rigger – to supervise the hoisting or lowering
    of articles on the outside of a building with hoisting equipment. In lieu of completing this course, an
    individual may instead possess a department approved national rigging certification.
    Duration: 32 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals
    Class Size: 1 – 30 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To supervise the hoisting or lowering of articles on the outside of a building with
    hoisting equipment – and a licensed rigger or designated rigging foreman is not required for such work –
    an individual must either (i) complete this course or (ii) possess a department approved national rigging
    certification.

    Class Size: 1 – 30 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To continue to supervise the hoisting or lowering of articles on the outside of a
    building with hoisting equipment – and a licensed rigger or designated rigging foreman is not required
    for such work – an individual must either (i) complete this refresher training course every four years
    following the completion of the 32- Hour Rigging Supervisor course & every four years thereafter, or (ii)
    possess a department approved national rigging certification.

  • 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness

    Course Title: 2-Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness
    Purpose: This course is an elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual applying
    for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESS-LEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any
    other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.
    Duration: 2 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks
    Class Size: 1 – 40 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: In order to continue to operate in the City of New York, the designated construction
    worker is required to complete a minimum number of hours of approved site safety training and to carry
    site safety identification cards as proof of completion of the training (As per New York City Local Law 196
    of 2017 also known as ‘LL196’ or ‘Local Law’). This course provides eight hours towards the satisfaction
    of that requirement.

  • 40 Hour Hoisting Machine Operator

    Course Title: 40 Hour Hoisting Machine Operator
    Course Required for: This course is one of the pre-requisites an applicant must successfully complete before
    being eligible to apply for a Hoisting Machine Operator license.
    Duration: 40 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks & meals
    Class Size: 1 – 40 Trainees
    NYC Requirement: To apply for a Hoisting Machine Operator license, the applicant must complete & submit
    to the Licensing Unit a certificate of completion for 40 hours of training as mandated by
    the Rules of the City of New York, 1 RCNY §104- 09.
    NOTE: In addition to this training, applicants for a Hoisting Machine Operators license must also hold valid
    national crane operator certification(s).
